The Wii is a very innovative console which millions of people enjoy using every day. However, if you don’t want your games to get damaged, there’s not a lot you can do to protect them. We do not condone the copying of games illegally, but if you own the game you want to copy, then making a backup of it is actually one of the best things you can do. Game backups are great, because you can lend them to your friends and use them in your console without fear of them getting damaged beyond repair. This means that if you want to be able to copy your Wii games, you need to be able to break through their copyright protection.
Unfortunately, a small group of inconsiderate people were copying all sorts of games, forcing the like of Nintendo (who make the Wii) to put all sorts of copyright meaures on their games. In the case of the Wii, the copyright protection is in the form of encryption. Encryption is where the game developers save their games to disc in a way which only the Wii can read; making it impossible to copy the games, because all PCs see if a jumbled mixture of gibberish.
This means that if you want to copy your Wii games and play them, you need to be able to get your PC to copy the game disc whilst understanding the encryption that it has. And to do this, you just need to be able to use a tool or technique which allows this encryption to be read on your PC. Unfortunately, there are not alot of tools or techniques which do this, but we’ve found one which works very well.
You can actually copy Nintendo Wii games very easily with a tool called “GameBackupSystem“. This tool has been created by an anonymous team, but we were able to backup and play 20+ of the latest Wii games with it. It copies your game discs perfectly, including the copyright encryption. This means that you can copy as many games as you want with the system, and then play them on your console without a mod chip.
