The Sony PlayStation console has been one of the top gaming consoles on the market since it was first released. However, as the games developed by Sony are getting better, the prices for these games are going up.

Since many gamers still use their PS2, it is not surprising that so many people are interested in burning copies of their PS2 games. The main reason is because they don’t want to end up having to buy a new game if their original game gets scratched up.

Not too long ago the only way you could successfully copy your PS2 games was to modify it. You would need a mod chip, and then you would need to open up your console to modify it.

Modifying your PS2 console to create a back up of your games can be pricey since the necessary mod chips are expensive. Moreover, if you don’t know how to use the mod chip you can goof up your console.

Fortunately, PS2 burning games softwares have been created to burn your games without a mod chip. When you’re using such a software one of the first things you will need to do is insert the PS2 game disk inside the CD/DVD drive of your computer.
